The original string lashings are intact and good condition. The metal throat is intact but the end metal cap is missing. The scabbard is the rare, hard to find wood bamboo sheath made from strips of bamboo.

There is a serial number and other markings on the pommel that should be visible in the photo. Attachment/release button is intact and fully functional. They show use, age and some light marks from use. The cross guard is the hooked qullion and is tight and in good condition. I believed the blade was blued or parkerized. The blade has been lightly sharpened long ago. more length is approximately 20" and the blade is 15 3/4" Blade tang is stamped with the star symbol of the Jinsen arsenal in Korea. Offered here is a WWII Japanese Bayonet made at the Jinsen Arsenal in Korea from 1923 to 1945 with the rare bamboo wood sheath used late in the war.
